• Long Distance Relationship during high school?

  i had recently got into a long distance relationship, and by that, i mean my boyfirend is in venezuela during the school year while i am in new york. there are alot to face. i had seen alot of couples in my school, but i had never seen any high school students getting into a long distance relationship, i believe its kinda rare for a long distnace relationship to happen during our high school years. i met my boyfirend during the summer when he came to new york to visit, but he goes to school in venezuela, so he went back to venezuela and wont be back til June of 2010. we are both at our busiest year of high school. hes graduating this year and is coming back to new yokr  for college, but will this relationship work?

  lets be honest, i dont think anyone in my school is really serious about their relationship, most of them are players to me, i had been lied to by my ex boyfriend in the past, hes a player, he never really cared about the relationship and is still mentally abusing me right now. i had seen people cheating on their other half....alot of people tells me that my relationship wont work because its just too far away, but then, i had been reading alot of posts and i had seen alot of different people who is also in a long distance relationship works out.. this is what someone told me, she told me shes in a LDR because her boyfriend and her goes to a diferent school, but both of them live in the same area, and shes saying its not gonna owrk out, i mean, if thats not gonna owrk out, then what the hell am i doing? are high school studnets not mature enough to handle LDRs?

  i actually believe that my relationship is gonna work out, because we are both old enough, we are no longer those little freshmen who doesnt know what they are doing, we are graduating soon and we been thru alot together. we've had people trying to break us apart, people talking about us, and i grew up in a typical asian family, that means, no dating until you get to college (of course i dont listen to those). we managed to stay together thru all those problems, and eventually, our parents actually agreed to this relationship. i wanna know about other people;s opinion and their LDRs, mind sharing your story? (;

  do you think a high school student can handle a LDR?
